As the cold weather grips the UK you might have noticed that these your smartphones start acting differently when you go outside did you know that the battery can drain twice as fast when you’re in the cold some phones completely freeze or even shut down the key is don’t leave your phone outside

For too long also keep it dry because as soon as it thaws out that could act like water damage most smartphones use lithium batteries which can be affected by the really hot or the really cold apple suggests keeping your phone between 0 and 35Β° centigrade that means that the battery will perform adequately

But the good news is if your phone has been affected by the cold then the negative effects won’t last too long

  2. Any lithium battery in very cold areas do not charge very well, I just read an article about a Tesla charging lot in Chicago, the whole lot is full of Teslas that won’t charge.

  4. Listen to her – the Scottish have a long history of being great engineers. I once heard a British Army officer say that all Royal Navy submarines would sink if it wasn't for Scottish engineers.
