4. Does anyone else realise? Long skull Sunak enacting legislation to 'pardon' (not overturn the convictions) will sweep it under the carpet fast, with minimum so called compensation? A retired Head of the Criminal Cases Review Commission was on TV today stating that legislation should only be enacted when all other avenues have been exhausted. They haven't been, even though it would have only taken months (instead of the years so far) for the commission and Court of Appeal to overturn the convictions. It could have been done long ago. No doubt they could also award a much higher level of compensation to surviving victims. As well as properly investigate the roles and liability arising from the legal Duty of Care of those at the very top.

   It must go the Criminal Cases Review Commission and Highest Court for it to be properly overturned, better compensation and for the culprits to be banged to rights.

6. The British people need to keep an eye on exactly who is covered by this announcement! If its like other government announcement significant number of postmasters will not be fully covered and things are kicked into the long grass and forgotten about. The other matter is prosecution of Post Office and Fujitsu employees (past and present) who perverted justice that resulted in innocent lives being destroyed. One MP described what went on at Post Office as lying on a industrial scale. Such behavior cannot go unpunished, and handing back a CBE does not scratch the surface.

18. I would like to know if these alleged criminal workers were replaced and if the problem was still present, whether the same fate befell their replacements? 20. The only reason this has happened is because of the drama about this scandal. The population is angry as it could have been you or me. All i see is a political figure trying to slime his way out of any responsibilities or egg on his face. Granted he wasn't in power for all those years but the Conservative party was for the most part. You watch how they now throw people under the bus to save themselves. Its just what they do. The post office and those in charge do need to be held accountable for this.
