  1. Funny that you mentioned the have seen some pictures of the new crown prince but not a word about him when he stands there on the balcony right next to his father and other siblings.
Fun fact the police announced at 13.57 (3 minutes before Margarete abdicated) that no more people where allowed to enter the palace plaza for safety reasons. If we could there would have been a much bigger crowd. An entire week before almost all train tickets where sold out because so many people from all over the country wanted to come.
Tivoli had the biggest firework show in their 180 years of existence. It was only 12 minutes but they fired 1251 stars 2651 bombettes and 1251 big Roman candles. It will be decades before they can do anything like that again

  2. Wait wait wait … “queen consult Mary”? How about showing some respect , she is our Royal Highness- her majesty Queen Mary -is the correct way to address her Majesty

  3. You know what I find interesting? This actually got covered in the US too, but comments there are "who cares?" whereas here you have people from monarchies all over the world all sharing in celebration & joy for the Danish people & their royal family. If ever we needed an answer as to why monarchies are relevant today, this seems to be it! They seem to bring peace, joy & unity to all those touched by them (well not all I guess, but certainly a lot)

  4. She is smart. To let the Prince now King inherit and for her to enjoy her remaining years away from responsibilities.

Me looking at the English Royal family and their king who is still… "Holding on".
