South Africa and Israel respond to ICJ ruling on war in Gaza

We are satisfied uh that the provisional measures that we sought uh to be addressed would be uh uh addressed by the court and uh I believe if you read the convention very carefully uh the matter of uh how uh a war uh or conflict is conducted is not elaborated I would

Have wanted that the word cessation uh is included uh in the Judgment I have no way that I’m going to say I’m disappointed I hoped for it but the fact of delivering humanitarian Aid the fact of taking measures that reduce the levels of harm against persons who have

No role in what Israel uh is combating for me requires a ceasefire and I believe Israel would have to attend to how it conducts its search for the hostages and for those Hamas individuals who carried out the October 7 uh attack what’s the next St I’ve never really

Been hopeful uh about Israel uh but Israel has very powerful friends who I hope uh will advise Israel that they should act Israel’s commitment to international law is unwavering equally unwavering is our sacred commitment to continue to defend our country and defend our people like every country Israel has an inherent

Right to defend itself the vile attempt to deny Israel this fundamental right is blatant discrimination against the Jewish State and it was justly rejected the charge of genocide leveled against Israel is not only false it’s outrageous and decent people everywhere should reject it our war is against Hamas terrorists not against Palestinian

Civilians we will continue to facilitate humanitarian assistance and to do our utmost to keep civilians out of Harm’s Way even as Hamas uses civilians as human Shields we will continue to do what is necessary to defend our country and defend our people

in a historic decision, the UN’s international court of justice has ordered Israel to ensure its forces do not commit acts of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
In an interim judgment delivered on Friday, the president of the court, Joan Donoghue, said Israel must ‘take all measures within its power’ to prevent acts that fall within the scope of the genocide convention and must ensure ‘with immediate effect’ that its forces do not commit any of the acts covered by the convention. The court stopped short of granting South Africa’s request to order an immediate ceasefire.

  1. there are a 500,000 IDF troops and this ruling for prosecution is going to be enormous, and im sure that those that run and over see Israels Govt will no doubt coverup officers who have abused, and currently abusing human rights in Palestine and its Arabic neighbors

  2. South Africa deflecting from their own disasters at home. South Africa will end up being just another failed African state reliant on foreign aid.

  3. This is a major victory for the State of Israel. A blessing for our mission in Gaza, not even a call for a ‘ceasefire’ let alone a characterisation of ‘genocide’ for our actions. Thank you South Africa for validating us.

  4. Israel is losing soldiers because its going out of it's way to protect citizens. SA needs to get it's own house in order before interfering with a just war.

  5. It is interesting to note that the countries that support genocide in Gaza are themselves committed mass murders and genocide of indigenous population such as Australia, USA, Canada and other colonial countries!

  6. As described by the third of Newton's laws of motion of classical mechanics, all forces occur in pairs such that if one object exerts a force on another object, then the second object exerts an equal and opposite reaction force on the first.[1][2] The third law is also more generally stated as: "To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction: or the mutual actions of two bodies upon each other are always equal, and directed to contrary parts."[3] The attribution of which of the two forces is the action and which is the reaction is arbitrary. Either of the two can be considered the action, while the other is its associated reaction.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
