Hungary: Italian woman appears in court in chains to face assault charges
Ilaria Salis appeared in chains in a Hungarian court today where she faced charges of assault. Salis was arrested in Budapest last year after being accused of assaulting demonstrators at a far-right rally.

She has been left with not toilets and tampon for 8 days and not clean clothes as she had her period in the same time.

She has been in prison without trial for a year, it is not known if she has done anything wrong. During the first month of his imprisonment she could not change clothes or underwear and for 6 months she was unable to see lawyers or family. They made her go before the judge on a leash like a dog.
