This is a developing story but we can speak to our correspondent Jasper moremore to get some of the details hello to you uh Jasper you’ve been trying to go over what details we have the facts that have emerged um what has struck you about the attack this

Sunday at 10 11:40 Turkish time two Mass men entered Santa Maria Roman Catholic Church in the Istanbul suburb of sarer and they opened fire on one person identified as CT C for Charlie t for Tango age 52 we don’t even know the person’s gender that person was killed

Nobody was wounded the Istanbul Governor davot Gul has just faced the cameras near the church and he said it was a targeted attack but he couldn’t say who was behind it that is being investigated but it was clearly not an act of terrorism the gunman didn’t spray the congregation with bullets the governor

I’m one of those old-fashioned people who goes to church and I can tell you every church every synagogue in this country has a police officer outside it during its Service uh and I am very surprised that two masked men managed to walk into this church without being challenged by the

Police officer who would have been on duty outside it they are the all the news reports are not saying anything about what this police officer was doing uh the police are currently examining security cameras in the vicinity uh to see how these people uh came and how

  5. If it were jews it would be all over the news but they were Christians. Their life dont matter like those 85 million lives in WW2 while those 1 million juice are remembered .

  15. No one looks more ambiguous concerning only their identity than someone wearing a covering over almost their entire head too. To say that vandals could not be planning to at some point in the future to become terrorists who are going to be killing people instead is incredibly naive.
