An eyewitness captured the moment a powerful avalanche rolled down a mountain in India’s Sonmarg, in Jammu and Kashmir region on Thursday (February 8).

Reuters was able to independently confirm the date the video was filmed.

The avalanche occurred near construction site for Zojila tunnel, local media reported.

  1. when you see mother nature tragedy coming towards you, why is it that people stay to film??? what’s wrong with them,we know what avalanche looks like, a tornado yes it does damage you don’t not need to see again someone lying down been caught out for the best passionately. I think the world has come up on humans, and unleashed violent tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, rat infestation of Rats in the UK, my question was “what the point putting your life in danger to film something on your phone” foolishness 😅😮
