The bizarre sights of A&E ft. Josh Widdicombe | The Graham Norton Show – BBC

Josh. I hope you’re okay because you were in A&E recently. I was in A&E recently, yes. Yeah. No it was fine. I survived. It’s not a particularly dramatic story in the- but the only piece of drama. Was um, the guy behind me ordered a kebab on Deliveroo.

So we’re sat in A&E and he went I’m just going to pop out and get a kebab. And the Deliveroo driver turned up and he came back in with this kebab. Sat down next to the stranger. And these are the words they said, and I know

This because I wrote them down. Because I was like I’m never going to hear anything as good as that again in my life. He opened up his kebab and he said to his friend or a stranger next to him. Do you want a chip?

And the stranger said, no, I shouldn’t. I’ve just had a heart attack. I think the horse has bolted by that point. Enjoy yourself.

Josh Widdicombe reveals the best interaction he’s ever heard whilst waiting in A&E, involving a kebab delivery and two fellow patients…

Among the guests on Graham’s sofa is knight of the stage and screen Ian McKellen, taking the role of Falstaff in Player Kings, a new version of Shakespeare’s Henry IV plays.

Also, award-winning actor Michael Sheen, talking about his new Welsh BBC drama series The Way, which he also directed, Ambika Mod, starring in the Netflix version of David Nicholls’ romantic bestseller One Day, and top comic Josh Widdicombe.

With music from chart-topper Gabrielle, who performs her single ‘A Place in Your Heart’.
