In some parts of history, i agree. But on the other hand in other parts of history we have been the “good guys”. Its the same for most countries, hardly anyone has a clean slate when looking at historical records.
During the empire? It was British that were the ‘baddies’ before that England wasnt any more of a bad guy than anyone else, take the anglo scottish wars for example, the scots love to try and paint it as ‘evil England bullying innocent victim scotland’ but in reality the vast majority of the anglo scottish wars were started by the scottish invading northern England before being counterattacked.
