Aerial footage: New York blanketed in thick fog

A drone captured mesmerising footage of New York City as dense fog enveloped Manhattan.

The blanket of the fog made the Green Apple look like it was floating on clouds.

This atmospheric phenomenon, dubbed “advection fog”, materialised as easterly winds swept over the chilly waters of Long Island Sound, according to local media reports.
