The Dutch have been laggards in meeting their two percent target on defence spending. The appointment should have gone to a candidate from a country that meets/exceeds their 2% defence military expenditure. And politicians wonder why their citizens grow tired of political elites' dealing behind closed doors. Ben Wallace was an excellent candidate but because he's not from an EU country, he was rejected along with Leftie, woke Biden's personal dislike of the British.
