The demonstration is the first since Rishi Sunak made a provocative speech in which he suggested pro-Palestine protests were a display of extremism. Ben Jamal, director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, criticised the prime minister’s remarks and insisted the demonstrations were peaceful, saying: ‘There will be 250,000 or more people here today. There have been less arrests at these marches than an average music festival’.

  1. One day the hate and distruction will be too grand to lie or lay through, one day there will be too many suicides and murders to sweep under the rug one day the poor will be so poor that there will be no class divide any longer. What will hate and distruction mean then. When progress and growth of science, ideology, humility, education and community has been forever stopped, staled and gatekept – what will be left to manipulate, what will be left to steal. And for what? Recognition for recognitions sake?

  2. If these protesters really cared about what is happening in Gaza, they would get on a plane and go over to Gaza and make positive changes. It makes me sick to see all of these people protest but don’t do anything themselves to make changes. It’s much easier to stand here in London and complain about the Madness in Gaza. I say to these protesters “put up or shut up”.
