Princess Anne Begins Day of Engagements in Lockerbie

The Princess Royal begins a day of engagements in the Scottish town of Lockerbie, starting with a visit to MacRebur plastic company to meet investors and employees. In 1988, Lockerbie became the scene of Britain’s deadliest ever terrorist attack when a bomb exploded on board Pan Am Flight 103 as it flew over the town. Princess Anne will pay tribute to the victims at the Garden of Remembrance later on Monday. Report by Iain Jones.

  25. It's a tonic to see Princess Anne out and about during this time when the Royal Family is going through this difficult time. I would love to see the likes of Beatrice and Eugenie and maybe even the Tindalls stepping in and lending a hand with public events. That would help the King, Queen and Prince of Wales and it would also be a good look of family solidarity to present to the public.

  31. The Princess Royal is the Royal Family's rock! Despite the concern she must have for her brother the King and her niece-in-law, she carries on and holds up more than her share of the royal duties. Her late parents must be SO proud.

  38. It's lovely to see the Royal family carrying on with their duties. Princess Anne is a trooper and doesn't get enough praise for her dedication to the Monarchy. Her mum & dad would be so proud of her. So are we the British people.
