I feel for Kate after pic backlash but here’s what I find is the real tragedy of the whole episode

When I first saw the picture I thought it was a lovely Mother’s Day picture I wasn’t looking to see if there was anything wrong with Katherine’s arm or wasn’t wearing a wedding ring I just saw the faces smiling and Katherine looking so healthy and wearing her walking boots

So obviously they’ve been out for a walk or about to go on a walk and I thought William did a brilliant job I mean I thought it was a wonderful picture I had to check I said who did this picture said William but well he’s done a

Brilliant job there because he’s got all of them all of them three children all smiling at him and only probably only a parent could do that and it was a lovely picture and I just feel so sorry that the whole thing’s been spoiled by what I called it in the paper over enthusiastic

Editing but um you know it seems to be more serious than that now because every major news agency has killed the picture and that’s quite that’s quite worrying because you know although I didn’t think the problems were that great because I thought it was all about the faces of

Course you know probably agency in the world is now looking very forensically at those pictures now and uh and looking for the wrong reasons you know for me it was a wonderful Mother’s Day picture and Katherine looking so well but um it just seems to have backfired I’m afraid you

Know it’s a nuisance really because you know William’s going to be on parade at westmin rabby and uh imagine his thoughts will be on what the hell happened there rather than this Commonwealth service but you know I never noticed that Katherine wasn’t wearing a wedding ring I didn’t notice

That that the sleeve on Charlotte’s uh left arm was WR all I saw was the faces and I just thought what a what a beautiful picture you know and I and I would have been proud to take in fact I might have said that I was very proud to take that picture it

Was me I be so pleased with that I’d be say well what a go I’ve done a great job because to get three of them especially Louie who’s got a mind of his own that that was just a to me an amazing photograph and obviously you know the

The agencies of this as this system where they run pictures through a check and uh and they’ve checked it and they obviously feel they’re not satisfied with it these major news agencies you can’t even take the red eye out of people’s they won’t even let you do that

You know as far as they’re concerned it’s not the picture and the picture you know when they’ll be putting out worldwide who it’s not just to the papers in United Kingdom it’s everywhere in the world and uh of course this our royal family is so popular everywhere in

The world and it’s got to be right so when I got calls from Australia last night saying half what’s wrong with this picture you know I was what’s wrong with it it looked great to me but you know when they pointed it out of course it

Was just not right then although I still feel you know I’m so pleased every newspaper publish it this morning because main reason it showed Katherine looking extremely healthy and well and the children you know having a wonderful day with their mother on Mother’s Day I hope they bought her some nice presents

It’s kind of worrying because you know I imagine they’re looking at all the other pictures have been put out from kin and Palace and must be wondering if there’s any others that have been manipulating I really hope not because Katherine’s pictures I think have been superb on the

Royal family that particular I one in fact I said it yesterday I think to somebody you know that picture of William on the swing with his three children that Katherine did was super picture the main thing about any picture is the composition you know my view but then secondly the Expressions the

Expressions were fantastic and that’s what I looked at but I imagine that will be the last time they’ll do that at the same time you know it it spoke a really in my view a great occasion because you know we’ve all been concerned about Katherine we’ve been concerned for a

While now then she was seen last week with her mother and uh with a Paparazzi picture and and the palace wanted to sort of clear that up and it was an ideal Day Mother’s Day to sort of send out a really lovely family gra photograph and uh and I just um I’m just

Sorry that it didn’t work for them really and they got they didn’t get the um the positive feedback that they should have got instead of this getting now we’re concerned about how much was manipulated why it was manipulated and uh and will it ever be

Done again so there you go my view is it’s a really lovely photograph anyway way and if the expressions are genuine and they don’t look like they’ve been altered then that sort of matters you know the Joy on the faces of the children and Catherine I mean if you

It’s a small thing but it’s come from the from a royal palace and uh probably never been done before and so therefore and probably hopefully never be done again but you know it’s been killed by the major agencies and and that is so important you know the they those are

The those are the agencies that spread out royal family around the world you know to every part of the world where the there’s newspapers and and and TV stations and sometimes you know in spite of criticism I think Edis is still feel it was a beautiful Mother’s Day picture and

They run it and then you know I think well good on them you know because it was put out that intention to show cathine looking healthy and well and it certainly did and in my view that was uh was enough you know this was a surprise that William took the photograph you

Know I don’t think he’s very interested in that but uh obviously he was being coached by his wife and and everything all the camera settings was obviously done by his wife and so I thought it was pretty impressed with that but um you know if it was his first effort uh let’s

Hope his second effort is less complicated this Photograph was a nice gesture and a nice picture but the people around us should have seen with the naked eye that the photograph was not going to be past Master if you like with the um SE top agencies given what’s

Going on in AI at the moment and they should have advised to that them to either return to the original photograph taking off any Photoshop that had been done um or to to redo the photograph so I I think that it’s not so much a criticism of her but the people around

Her that should have known that the reaction was going to be big and could backfire it is embarrassing for kensen Palace as an institution I understand why it’s happened and it’s a genuine mistake but the truth of it is for there to be trust and integrity between the

Public and the rawal family you need to make sure that the photographs or information that issued to the general public is true and the photographs are are honest portrayals of what’s happened in this instance by doing Photoshop which some many people do with with um amateur photographs and circulate among

Amongst their family and you know on their Facebook page whatever that’s fine but you can’t then issue it as an official photograph which is what has happened in this case and I think that really the blame doesn’t fall on K and even though she’s apologized for doing

It it it really does fall on the advisers who haven’t really done their job ultimately you know you can’t really blame Kate she’s recuperating from surgery she’s trying to do the best she can and organize a photograph which she looks the best she can they have to come

Clean and tell the truth and it’s good I suppose the Kate has taken ultimate responsibility if she did it but equally before that was issued before that was issued it should have gone been discussed with the Communications Department the head of communication says well I can see that this has been

Altered I don’t think we can issue this as an official photograph for that reason that reason alone is it won’t be allowed to in these days of fake news and um fake photographs so I I think that that in many ways though she’s apologized she’s probably been let down

In my opinion most people be pretty sympathetic to Kate I’m sympathetic to Kate she’s getting over a major operation and she’s you know done her best to try and get a photograph out of her and kids looking really quite happy and and healthy uh the problem is I think that

Unfortunately um somewhere along the line there was some miscommunication before the palace issued the picture and really that picture should not have been issued it should have been circulated maybe between family and friends um and and an official photograph needs to pass all the levels of Integrity before issued I’ve no doubt

That when we see cap back on on duty after Easter that this will be long forgotten but the truth of it is U those photographs be taken by professional photographers and we know that they know the rules and they certainly won’t be tampering with the photographs
