Moment boulder strikes car during Taiwan earthquake

This is the moment a huge boulder struck a car during the #Taiwan earthquake.

The terrifying scene was captured on #car dash cam footage as drivers attempted to escape the rockfall.

The magnitude 7.2 tremor was the largest #earthquake the country had seen in 25 years, leaving several dead, at least 50 missing and hundreds injured.

The search for survivors continues as reports emerge of people trapped in tunnels and collapsed buildings.

  1. Those cars were ducks in a boulder shooting gallery! Man, the heavy brush was of no help. I really didn't know Taiwan had such steep terrain. Maybe Google Earth can provide an insight into this area. Ah yes, I see there's some VERY steep mountains north of Hailan City!

  2. Given the time frames of the universe – my guess is that after we destroy ourselves – probably through nuclear war and the resulting nuclear winter – ( similar to the dinosaurs fate ) this planet will shake us off like proverbial "fleas".
