John Swinney, Scotland’s former deputy first minister, on Thursday announced his bid to become leader of the Scottish National Party, after the resignation of the country’s first minister this week.

I'l be voting for John Swinney MSP, based on
As Finance Secretary, Swinney showed he is astute as achieved a balanced budget every year from 2007 to 2016 and again as stand-in Finance Secretary from 2022 to 2023.
In the same time both Labour and Torie UK Government's were unable to achieve a balanced budget in any year and the UK public sector debt is approaching 2,7 Trillion.
This conversation is a testament to the transformative power of dialogue. It has the potential to shape minds and perspectives.💞

Free university tuition may sound great but there's a massive downside. To remain as top universities they need funding which means there has to be a cap on the number of Scottish students. At St Andrews (the uni I went to in 1990) that cap is just 25%. More and more Scots are having to go down south because they are not getting into their preferred university in Scotland. That's a brain drain from Scotland because most won't come back to Scotland for work.
