  1. I'l be voting for John Swinney MSP, based on

As Finance Secretary, Swinney showed he is astute as achieved a balanced budget every year from 2007 to 2016 and again as stand-in Finance Secretary from 2022 to 2023.

In the same time both Labour and Torie UK Government's were unable to achieve a balanced budget in any year and the UK public sector debt is approaching 2,7 Trillion.

  2. He's absolutely the best man for the job, in my opinion!! I am very happy with his decision for step up and take on the First Minister position. I would also happily vote for him at any given opportunity.

  3. Free university tuition may sound great but there's a massive downside. To remain as top universities they need funding which means there has to be a cap on the number of Scottish students. At St Andrews (the uni I went to in 1990) that cap is just 25%. More and more Scots are having to go down south because they are not getting into their preferred university in Scotland. That's a brain drain from Scotland because most won't come back to Scotland for work.
