they spent the past few nights standing outside Parliament but on Thursday throngs of protesters spread through bissi waving European flags and blocking roads as they called for the withdrawal of the foreign influence Bill and despite a recent security Crackdown the protests only seemed to grow in size we have been protesting against the Russian law for many days our government wants to adopt this law and govern the country like Putin but we won’t allow this they are beating us every day poisoning us with gas but we will not [Music] stop critics have compared the draft Bill to a similar law in Russia where it’s been used to silence media and non-governmental organizations many Georgians also worry it could derail the country’s EU membership bid after Russel’s repeatedly expressed concerns over the Law’s potential for abuse there are concerning developments in terms of legislation uh the law that uh is passed on transparency in second reading as it stands is uh unacceptable and will create very serious obstacles for the EU EU accession path the bill which is supported by the ruling Georgia dream party is likely to be passed in its third reading miday and any veto by the president could be overridden in Parliament but protesters still have reasons to Hope last year a similar law was scrapped after it triggered widespread demonstrations [Music]
Tens of thousands of people took to the streets in Georgia on Thursday in a fresh night of protests against a “foreign influence” bill likened to Russian laws silencing dissent.

Keep the American way of life growing strong in Georgia by letting all the American NGOs keep hiding all the US government money they get.
