It’s so much easier saying things in English than French, because it sounds like you’re trying to be fancy.
Pain au chocolat can NOT be said in English. It’s one of those rare words you HAVE to pronounce. Unless you’re an uncultured swine like me in Greggies and just call it a “chocolate croissant please”.
Me- over pronouncing the correct French pronunciation whenever i get the chance.
