Russian forces have, in recent days, made small but significant gains right along the border in the Kharkiv region.

Their advances are only a few miles deep but have swallowed up around 100km (62 miles) of Ukrainian territory. In the more heavily defended east of Ukraine, itโ€™s taken Russia months to achieve the same.

Russia claims its forces have now entered the border town of Vovchansk, which Ukraine disputes.

Ukraine’s military chief has said its forces are doing all they can to hold the line in Kharkiv but they are facing a “difficult situation”.

  1. Russia wants their buffer zone back. Zelensky should sign a peace deal. Eastern Ukraine ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ is totally Russian people. Zelensky is a comedian scamming billions from Western tax-payers.

  2. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎKharkiv and the region are inhabited by 85% of the Russian population and are currently under the occupation of the Azov Kraken… the people can't wait for the Russians to free them…

  3. They got manipulated and forced into a war that's taking everything from them. Their land gone and everything else destroyed. Forget about Russia, but how is this good for Ukrainian people??????????????

  4. They got manipulated and forced into a war that's taking everything from them. Their land gone and everything else destroyed. Forget about Russia, but how is this good for Ukrainian people??????????????

  5. This is so predictable. Having spent two years grinding the Ukrainians down, Russia is now attempting to establish a firm hold on the territories it actually wants to control in the long term.

  6. Russian surprise offensive while in the same sentence saying Ukraine has been expecting an offensive , canโ€™t help, yourselves right? We have stopped buying the lies about the Ukraine war. As shown in comments , more people have stopped believing the lies

  7. WWII showed: for long and large scale war, quantity > quality. The past Germans and the west now, focus on quality. They achieved, but the weapons are too expensive and hard to be repaired. They turn to be insufficient to fulfill the huge demand in big wars. On the other hand, see the Russians' ammunition mass production and the Chinese' components, chips, sensors, vehicles mass production. Let Ukraine stop, they don't have any chance.
