Terrifying moment bridge suddenly cracks and plunges into river in ‘biblical’ Brazil floods

A bridge collapsed due to flood and heavy rain in Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil in new shocking footage.

The bridge on RSC 287, located between the Santa Maria Air Base and the access junction for Silveira Martins at kilometre 227 on the Arroio Grande River.

Emergency services are responding to the scene, and authorities urge motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

The death toll is expected to rise as hundreds of people are missing in Rio Grande do Sul while the state suffers “its biggest disaster”.

  4. The president of Brazil abandoned the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The army doesn't help, the government doesn't help. Only people and businesspeople are helping to rescue and care for people. The government abandoned the people and is still making it difficult for us to provide the help we are trying to provide. The world needs to know what is really happening in Brazil.

  11. Many people were sleeping when the water began to invade the houses, with no chance of many being able to evacuate to a higher area as no one knew where the water was coming from. Many elderly people drowned at home, and thousands of animals drowned.

The federal government (Luis Inácio Lula da Silva) is not helping the victims, it lies and persecutes civilians, who are getting their feet wet and using their own resources to help the population. And it is even threatening to arrest anyone who shows the real images and anyone who reports the crimes that are being committed; theft, robbery, rape inside shelters, lack of public security. The army sent weak soldiers who, when it got dark, returned to the barracks and left the victims without any support from the armed forces, remembering that in Brazil, the Lula government is carrying out a witch hunt policy, against the right to carry and possess firearms, leaving the population without the means to defend their lives and property.

  15. 7:29 Shame Lula as the head of the country is helping less than civilians and blocking aid, finning people for not having boat licenses, aid trucks for being slightly over the recommended weight restrictions, lack of security with gangs stealing people’s belongings… But the worst was Lula’s wife going to Madonna’s Erotic Show in Rio during the turn of events at the worst times of the biggest natural disaster in Brazilian history the First Lady Knowing about the unfolding catastrophe where people where missing and dying decided to go party… this people have no hart, imagine brain 😭😢😔☹️😞

  16. Brazilian president Lula is a corrupt, and is not helping with anything. The people are being helped 90% by the people itself, by civilians who are donating food, water, medicines and clothes.
