Fabrizio Romano to @MicsPod on barriers preventing external parties from buying Italian clubs:
“There are no barriers, the only problem is the stadiums. For example, if you want to build a new stadium and have your own stadium for the club, it's really slow and complicated. This is why sometimes investors are not focused on Italian football. You have an old stadium, which is fascinating, but at the same time, you need money and opportunities to drive revenue. This is more complicated in Italy and that is the only issue, I think.”

Well there has been some improvement over the past few years, but what always bugged me as non-Italian Serie A fan was the lack of content made in english and rather minimal presence on social media. Even the content made in Italian quite often lacked any sort of translation, subtitles whatsoever and sometimes I couldn’t be bothered to use a translator. So stadiums are not the only problem, at least from my perspective.
