Israeli singer Eden Golan says Eurovision is ‘safe for everyone’

have you ever fa that by being here you bring risk and danger for other participants and public you don’t have to answer that question if you want don’t want to why not if you want to if you want to answer okay please um I think we’re all here for one reason and one reason only and uh the Ebu is taking all safety precautions uh to make this a safe and uh and United place for everyone and um so I think it’s safe for everyone and we wouldn’t be here for any other reason

The solo artist Eden Golan has insisted the Eurovision song contest being held in Sweden is ‘safe for everyone’ amid protests against Israel’s participation because of the war in Gaza.

A journalist asked the finalist: ‘Have you ever thought that by being here you bring risk and danger for other participants and the public?’ Golan was told she did not have to answer the question, but the Dutch entrant Joost Klein said: ‘Why not?’

  1. Is this supposed to be for only European countries? If it is then (not to be rude) Israel, as an Asian country, technically shouldn't be performing at Eurovision anyways.
