  1. this is not severe turbulence it is something else I suspect pilot error or major malfunction of aircraft – turbulence does not cause aircrafts to pitch up vertically then fall – I suspect the plane stalled from some sort of error

  2. One decade ago, I was on a flight to La Reunion island, and we got in what I thought was called an "air pocket". The aircraft quickly lost altitude, dropping rapidly until it recovered, which felt like having hit a hard stop.
Fortunately, no service was being carried out by the flight attendants, however some of the passengers were injured; mainly those who were not sitting strapped to their seats.
The pilot came on the PA to apologize and said this was not detected on his radar, hence why we got no warning.
I have been flying since the early 80's, and this has so far been the only time I experienced such a drastic event.
Even if the wings are supposedly capable of handling the stress, it really feels terrible for the few seconds you don't understand what is happening…
This is something I am not looking forward to going through again!!! It is incredibly scary, especially because the initial feeling is that you are going down!

  3. EASY what happened The plane runs automatically when it enters air turbulence while the pilot and copilot fall asleep, so it is unable to avoid turbulence location

  4. I wonder how the cabin crew reacted😮, they have such a hard job , even more so in situation like this one, thanks but not thanks.😒

  5. i flew out of Bangkok a couple weeks ago. alot of rocking side to side theres always a bit of turbulence in that area and the rainy season has started with a vengeance so alot of storms atm with the chance of air pockets

  6. Well there’s some weird weather and wind effects out those parts, most like due to some combination of mountains and tropical air currents mixing with non tropical or localised hot and cold streams.

Maybe 6/7 years ago we performed south east asias largest aircraft field repair in Loei Thailand, swapping out the entire tail section for a Q400 that upon landing dropped 25ft out the air onto its tail due wind shear and bent the whole empennage

  7. This is Boeing 777 which was criticized as "just a shell" by one of its own officials. Looks like they use the same AMCAS system or similar one from the 737 MAX. They are well known to nose dive and crash. Lucky this one managed to land. It's part of the hidden automated system pilots are not told. I thought people have learned the lesson. It appears not. Two whistle blowers have died recently. This is getting worse. My sympathy for the British man who died.

  8. Most flights i am on have for a long time requested everyone to wear their seatbelts even when there is no turbulence, as there has been a lot of incidents where people get injured when a sudden bit of turbulence is experienced. Shame everyone was not belted in , this would have been a none story if so.

  9. Seeing this is a complete freak horror story and has became a notorious flight incident as a trend, ever since MH370, but this is no missing incident.

While part of aviation history in Southeast Asia, this has to be one of the most notorious incidents, in which people are breaching o er a simple need in hiearchy, a lessonnthat must be learned in future times likethese. Condolences to all passengers who have been injured, and rest in peace the 73 year old Brit who passed away of a severe turbulent heart attack
