Still shocked Zhang lost ownership like this, it feels like he lost a lot of money, and this was honestly the only scenario I was sure would not happen.
Now I don’t really know what to expect, just hope for the best.
They’ll never sell and if they do it’s gonna be a usurer type shit to some other American like cardinale borrowing from elliott the money to buy Milan. Saudis aren’t going to pay 1.2 bln for a club when they can buy a Man city psg or Newcastle for a third of the price and get even better results. This is the start of the age of austerity that idiots like Ermesmessaggeronerazzurro(a Milei supporter) wanted. Now you’ll see what it means to put economic sustainability over success. Also considering Americans absolutely despise Italians I don’t really believe the news saying marotta and co. will be confirmed.
let’s see how it goes.
they really wanna increase revenues so this could be an increase in player trading to get more money.
I’ll miss Zhang because it always seemed to me it was more of a passion project given to him by his father rather than a financial investment. In the years with us they invested just shy of 900M. That is absolutely insane.
The market of the last two years has been very good. Sadly we pay mistakes of the past, Joao Mario, Vidal, Conte’s wages, Correa, Gosens..
Murky times ahead. Sporting wise it’s probably going to delay some renewals, hope a deal can be found with Lauti and Bare.
As for the new owners in the future.. I’m pessimistic about this. It’s impossible for Inter to stay competitive while becoming self-sustainable in the short term, so I really hope the next owner doesn’t come blazing with moneyball bullshit. Until we get a new stadium and start raking up its profit, until Serie A steps up its marketing game and TV rights, to be successful it’s likely we’ll need new investments.
There’s just too much disparity with the other leagues for Italian clubs to compete just relying on their internal finances.
