Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked NATO to use its fighter jets to shoot down. Zelensky also urged NATO members to speed up deliveries of weapons and aid to Ukraine. This comes as Russia continues its onslaught in Ukraine’s Northeast as it lays siege on Kharkiv. Zelensky believes that if NATO shoots down Russian missiles, it will not be a direct involvement of the Western Security Alliance in the ongoing war. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly warned that if NATO joins the war in Ukraine then it will lead to World War 3. Putin has also said that if NATO gets involved then all of NATO’s militaries and members would be targeted by Russian forces.
