this 90-year-old has just become the oldest person to go into space but he had to wait 60 years to do so in 1961 Ed Dwight was chosen as the first black astronaut candidate in the US at first he wasn’t so sure I consulted my mother and my mother’s telling me about all these stuff that I can do as a symbol and think of you know the kids you’ll get excited but NASA never selected him for a mission so he didn’t get to go that’s until now he went up to the edge of space on the blue origin spacecraft on Sunday before parachuting back down to earth thank you thank you thank you I thought I really did need this in my life and now I need it in my life
