  1. My God what a genuine down to earth guy. Of course, he’s bloody brilliant too. He was wonderful in this production. A moving, painful and beautiful event.

  2. Timothy Bloody Spall ❤ working class boy done good, how wonderful to hear something genuine and heartfelt among all the scripted PR-friendly fluff. One of England's true treasures.

  3. Oh look! Yet another boring, pointless awards show nobody watches giving awards for boring, pointless tv shows that nobody watches. Luvvies… further words fail me.

  4. Way more endearing than what Coz or Coogan would have said, which you just know would have likely been pretentious political grandstanding about things they don't actually have a clue about.

  5. I’m so glad Timothy Spall won. His portrayal of Peter Farquhar was brilliant. And what a down to earth guy in comparison to all these other pretentious actors.

  6. Congratulations Tim. Only seems like yesterday since you were standing on the stage in the Shaw Theatre as Falstaff. You were mega then – I think Michael Croft would be so proud of you. He saw your talent even back thenwhen you were a 17 year old. Xxxxx

  7. Timothy Spall is an acting legend. He's been in so many great programmes and films.
So to me he is utterly brilliant and deserves every accolade. And should've got a Bafta long before now..

  8. A guy that's ALWAYS been there……..forever the bridesmaid I think that's what they say…….. A well deserved recognition to such a down to earth actor.
