Slovakian government says Fico shooting was politically motivated

The Slovakian interior minister, Matúš Šutaj Eštok, said at a news conference that the assassination attempt on the country’s prime minister, Robert Fico, was a ‘politically motivated act’.

At least five shots were fired at Fico, 59, on Wednesday as he met a small group of supporters after a government meeting in the town of Handlová, about 90 miles (150km) north-east of the capital, Bratislava. Eštok confirmed that the suspect had acted alone and had previously taken part in anti-government protests.

  9. And what the suspect stated are just some of the reasons that may lead to such an action, at the moment, the current government clearly does more harm to Slovaks than it helps, so it is not surprising that something like this happened

  15. At least it is worthwhile to check the bank account transanctions of this lone wolf. A big transaction or a series of medium transaction amount from a mysterious account will be telling of potential involvement of Zelensky, Biden, or the Indian guy in the UK.

  20. He was Ukrainian sympathiser not happy that Fico wanted to look after his people and not send money to the MIC. When the USA and EU forget about Ukraine all the banderites from Ukraine will do the same to any politician in Europe.

Responsibility lays on foreign funded media who instigating, inspiring and normalizing this kind of behaviours to "defend democracy" using opposition as a tool to change policies according their investors wishes. We have seen it in Poland already and many other countries which have no policy to regulate foreign influence.

    – Its your interior minister, who was part of the plan. Saw his press brief and it was all clear. Fitzo might die, if these are the people.
    – They will have a clear image only by their future actions on policy.
    – Instead of wasting Energy on the mastermind (UK/ France/US/Germany)… Trace your Mole, by his future actions in the coming months.

  32. Threats, attempted assassinations and killing of the NATO leaders of Slovakia's PM, Germany's politicians and Poland 's PM; destabilization in regions of influence (Mali and Burkina Faso) and critical raw material suppliers (Niger) for the French energy sector. Conclusion: NATO is under attack.
