‘Manhattanhenge’ sunset wows New Yorkers
New Yorkers gathered on Tuesday evening to catch the ‘Manhattanhenge’ sunset between the city’s famous sky scrapers.
The annual phenomenon occurs when the sun lines up with the Manhattan street grid, in Long Island City in the Queens borough of New York City.
Manhattanhenge could be seen from 14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd and 57th Street and across the East River in the Long Island City section of Queens.
