New Artillery Ammunition Plant in Texas Nears Completion

In Mesquite, TX General Dynamics sees a new production line for artillery rounds nearly being finished. It is being furnished with among other things, Turkish Repkon robots that will help with producing some 30,000 rounds a month so doubling GD's monthly output.

The customer for the ammunition? Ukraine.

  1. This sounds good, but I’d rather see 30,000 drones produced per month. Artillery is good, but drones are the way to victory.

  2. That’s a supply of 1k shells per day, which is decent. Ukraine probably needs 5-7 times that many but this is a good start.

  3. It beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. But Russia is firing 6-10K shells per day. So yeah, gonna need alot more.

  4. *”The Mesquite factory will consist of three production lines in different buildings — one of which will share space with a distribution center for Frito-Lay that had a Cheetos-branded truck parked outside.”*

They cannibalized Repkon`s brand new ammunition factory in Türkiye , shipped the assembly lines/robots to Texas to produce 30k rounds/mounth in a shared space with Frito Lays potato chips , then they will ship those ammunitions back to Ukraine

Well this is how they spend Ukraine`s “aid money” .
