the javelin is designed to effectively fight modern reactive armor reactive armor is the weird box-like structures you see on Modern tanks this is what it looks like on a whole Russian tank and this is what it looks like after a javelin missile hits this is where the Russian tanks went off to after the offensive they’re furiously shelling Ukrainian positions luckily there was a javelin nearby and that’s it this tank is no longer viable the reactive armor didn’t even help the second group realizes what will happen to them if they stay and they wisely decide to retreat

  2. My concern is that now the Wests enemies know their secret weapon which in an all out war of East V West was how they would've halted any move into friendly territory. So now Russia, China, North Korea and Iran etc are working to negate these weaknesses meaning the West needs something else to disrupt & slow down enemy forces.

  5. Simple logic. The Javelin when used in top attack mode does not have to go through reactive armour. It hits above the autoloader section of turret and causes sympathetic detonation of tank's ammunition inside the turret! Similarly Russian drones are specifically targetting the blow out hatches of the Abram munition hold causing similar outcome😅.

  10. No ERA on top where the javelin strikes, but a sophisticated weapon like the Javelin requires a sophisticated defence like the newer Russian Arena or Afghanit active protection systems, alongside static ERA.
