US President Joe Biden does not want the standoff with Russia over Ukraine to trigger a global war. He reiterated that Kyiv is only permitted to target bases, artillery positions and other military sites “that… were using to create some sort of buffer zones.” Ukraine could theoretically shoot down military aircraft in Russian airspace with German Patriot systems, as per a senior officer. Netherlands has said it intends to hand over 24 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine without any restrictions on their use for strikes on Russia. Germany’s chief of defence has again warned of a possible Russian attack on NATO countries. NATO’s aircraft closely monitored the joint exercises of the Russian and Belarusian militaries from the skies over Poland and the Baltic states. Watch the video to find out more.
