all right for more on this we’re now being joined by Mr Peter kosnik who is a professor of history and director of the nuclear Studies Institute at American University he’s joining us from Washington DC sir thank you so much for joining us in World DNA my pleasure uh sir of course I want to begin by asking you the United States it’s clearly outlined and authorized the use of weapons by Ukraine within Russian territory how do you think this will affect the war do you think this points to a larger War that’s what we’re all afraid of it’s a there’s been a series of escalations Ukrainian military was doing very badly it looked like the Ukraine might the military might collapse when Russia opened up the new front around K it stretched Ukrainian forces so thin that they were very vulnerable they were outmanned and outguns and NATO decided to act decisively at that point they not only provided more and more weapons but they brought more and more potent weapons into play attack’s f16s the new French planes on top of that macron said that he wanted to send French and other NATO troops into Ukraine combat troops they’ve already been sending trainers and targeters into Ukraine on top of that they’ve been uh escalating the attacks so Ukraine struck against against two Russian early warning radar sites inside of Russia these are nuclear sites that they’re trying to Blind the Russians for some reason which is crazy and very very dangerous on top of that uh Biden and others have now given authorization for the ukrainians to use those Advanced weapons to strike inside of Russia this is all a very very dangerous escalation based on the assumption that Russia has no red lines that can’t be crossed that Putin is only bluffing well Russia responded not only with warnings and threats but with uh tactical nuclear weapons drills inside of Russia on the Ukrainian border H what we’re headed for is World War II you’ve got lunatics in charge who are playing a very dangerous game with the future of Life on our planet on the assumption that the Russians are going to back down that they’re only bluffing that nothing can be done to provoke them true and we gonna you know I I today for example today was the anniversary of the day you know and it was used if you looked at the American television anywhere it’s all about how the Americans won the war in Europe and and how now we learned the lesson we’ve got to stand up to tyranny what is lie what the big lie is that of course the Soviets won the war in Europe two years before dday with the battles of Stalingrad and KK and Moscow and then Leningrad you know not that not that dday was not significant it was a very heroic effort on the part of the West yeah but the the Lost 4400 men on dday right Professor I like to yeah yeah so you’ve talked about nuclear weapons and everything now France has also agreed of um planning to supply Mirage 20 2,5 Jets to Ukraine um do you think that will impact at all like because it is already started now us has allowed in and now France is also um thinking of supplying these Jets you know and also the Germans have provided weapons stoltenberg says that the NATO should be much more aggressive you know what we need is diplomacy Putin has said he wants to negotiate over Ukraine on his terms right but we should call Putin’s Bluff and we should sit down and talk what’s happening now is Ukraine’s position is getting weaker by the day on the battlefield Russia’s gaining more and more territory Ukraine is never going to be able to drive the Russians out of all of Ukraine as zalinski says he wants and so we need to sit down and negotiate in the nuclear age war is just too dangerous to be to be uh played with in this way you know how do we know what Putin’s final po point is his breaking point he’s been threatening to use tactical nuclear weapons when that happens then the West responds with tactical nuclear weapons and as Biden himself has said then the escal begins and there’s probably no place to stop that before Global Annihilation all right well Professor Kik thank you so much for joining us uh on world DNA with your insights on this always a pleasure to have you thank you [Music]

U.S. President Joe Biden has outlined the guidance for Ukraine’s use of U.S. weapons to strike targets inside Russia. Washington’s authorization marks change in policy by Biden, who had steadfastly refused to allow Ukraine to use American weaponry for strikes inside Russia.
