the Premier League is keeping V next season and the vote wasn’t even close 19 of the 20 topf flight English clubs voted to stick with the refere in system only one voted to scrap V and that was wolves who called the vote in the first place but after a lot of criticism changes are coming all V decisions will be announced to the stadium by The Ref during the game and offsides will become semi-automated where cameras and AI will be used to track the exact position of players on the pitch in theory offside decisions can be made much faster than the current method of manually drawing lines on the pitch V has lost its popularity with fans since it was introduced in 2019 and now almost 2/3 of supporters say they’re against it in a recent survey but the Premier League insists that if the system was scrapped all together there would be 100 more wrong decisions and claim V only made five incorrect decisions in the 2023 24 season the Premier League are hoping changes to the system improves its reputation with fans managers and Wolves of course

19 out of 20 Premier League clubs have voted to keep VAR, with only Wolverhampton Wanderers – the club who called the vote – voting to scrap it.

  11. Var could be so much simpler if the offside rule was based around where a players feet are positioned only. Offside doesn't need to be as complicated as it is.

  12. It will make Match Of The Day a better watch next season as no manager or coach will be able to moan about VAR except Gary Oneil!
    If the sport is becoming rugby let's ban hand ball and allow players to pick it up and score by throwing it into the net 😅
