  1. Nacho has practically decided to leave Real Madrid, with whom he has a contract until June 30th. According to MARCA, the center-back is about to sign with Al Ittihad, the team of Karim Benzema, which offers him a two-year contract worth around 20 million euros per season.

The Saudi team’s offer is much higher than Madrid’s, where he has been earning around 5.5 million euros until this season. Additionally, there are special tax conditions in Saudi Arabia that make the offer even more attractive.

Last week, Al Ittihad’s sporting director, Ramón Planes, was in Madrid, in a visit that served to finalize an operation that is still pending the definitive signature. Furthermore, the move has received the approval of Karim Benzema, who left Madrid to join Saudi football last summer.

In recent weeks, Saudi football had approached Nacho, who initially seemed inclined towards MLS in the United States. However, gradually, the offer from the East (Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team, was also mentioned) started fitting into the plans of the _canterano_, who also had an offer from Madrid to renew for one more season.

Finally, Nacho seems to have made his decision, one that will prevent him from retiring as one of the few one-club men in Real Madrid’s history, a club with which he lifted three titles this past season as captain: the Spanish Super Cup, La Liga, and the Champions League.

  2. Get that bag captain. If there’s anyone who deserves it, it’s him.

  3. That’s generational wealth in two short years. It’s a no-brainer and he deserves it!

  4. So much money… and it’s tax free over there, right? Absolutely he should get the bag while he can.

  5. Happy for him, win everything, go collect the bag, spent some years studying and comeback for a managerial role at the club.

  6. My man was lowkey waiting for kroos to be out of the picture to announce his Saudi move 😅. Don’t be ’embarrased’ my captain haha

  7. Happy he was able to start in the final and win. That offer is a great pre retirement offer. Take it and make generational wealth. Hopefully he comes back as a youth team coach in the future

  8. How much money has he made in Madrid? Hopefully he can help Benz get back to his best

  9. Sad because he’s still useful and good but good for him for getting the bag

And for not going to the MLS

  10. that’s not that great a payday. 40M over 2 years is 20M a year. It wouldn’t be that much more than he gets now.

I wouldn’t go to Saudi for that little.

Why not stay another year and play on the same team as Mbappe and Endrick? Maybe even add to his legacy.
