2024 European elections: Christian Democrats and Socialists remain dominant • FRANCE 24 English
we could see that the main groups still dominating in these elections are the conservatives and the Socialists the conservatives with the EP LED in this election by Ursula vandon uh with uh 186 seats and then we see the Socialists that have 133 seats in uh this European Parliament election in third place is uh renew Europe uh our French president emanu maron’s Renaissance group is part of renew Europe uh with 11% of the seats in European Parliament but not far behind is uh Georgia Malone’s ECR with 9% almost more than 9% 9.72% of the seats in the European Parliament and then 10 points below uh with 60 seats in Parliament is the ID group of which uh Marine Leen andan B’s National rally are part of this farri group IG not far behind
The two mainstream and pro-European groups, the Christian Democrats and the Socialists, remained the dominant forces according to a first projection provided by the European Union. The Greens were expected to lose about 20 seats and fall back to sixth position in the legislature.
