Inter stopped at a offer of 15 million – a figure to be lowered with the counterpart, Genoa request is 18 million. As usual, as in these cases, the difference will be made up with bonuses.

The Spaniard is obviously enthusiastic. Inter followed him throughout the season, the scout reports were positive right away. So much so that when the sports director Ausilio realized that the Bento operation would be too expensive- Athletico Paranaense first asked for 20 million, then even raised the price further-, he did not think twice about diverting his attention to Martinez: two meetings were enough to set up the deal, which is very close now to conclusion.

With the Spaniard, Inter want to give Inzaghi another starter. The coach had asked for a qualitatively deeper squad: Zielinski, Taremi, now Martinez, the road is well traced.

  1. if bento was available for like 25m then this is bullshit, but if it was like 40m I understand.

Paranese told bento they would let him join inter for their asking price last year, kinda scummy to run it back.

  2. This is a good signing. Martinez is going to add something Sommer cannot and will hopefully be able to fully split time with Sommer in 25/26.

  3. Good buy if we can get him for €15M + players

When the money is tight, we gotta make some sacrifices.
