Russia’s military has announced further advances in southern Ukraine, claiming the capture of the village Zagrine and asserting improved positions in the Zaporizhzhia region. Despite ongoing gains, international monitors indicate that Russia has yet to achieve a significant breakthrough in its campaign, despite capturing multiple villages earlier in the week and claiming nearly 880 square kilometers of territory in 2024.   9. To the West Russia will never make a achieve a significant breakthrough because they keep moving the goal post. Russia is advancing slowly because they don't want to waste their men. They let the Ukraines attack, then stop and pull back some and let their artillery, rockets and bombs destroy them and then advance again. The US wishes that the Russians would attack blindly so they can lose a lot of men but they aren't dumb!

  36. How can crybaby Zelensky be chairing a Peace Summit with conniving nations without Russia? He is no longer the legal president of Ukraine. That would just be plotting evil moves with them all. Let representatives of both NATO and BRICS sit down together and talk things over for more credible and acceptable terms of peace.
