The IMF executive board voted Thursday to approve a payout of almost $800 million for Argentina as it continues a program of drastic economic reforms under its libertarian president, Javier Milei. A self-declared “anarcho-capitalist,” Milei has vowed to halt Argentina’s economic decline and reduce the budget deficit to zero, and has embarking on a program to slash public spending and bring down inflation, which remains at an annual rate of more than 275 percent.

  1. Debt trap. 😏 They will ask Argentina to sell out public assets. The whole country would be in possession of outsiders. And everything is legal here.

  2. More debt? The well-peruked ill-minded clown, Milei, is applying feudal recipes again, but this time under the guise of mercantile 'anarchy'. He'll enrich the greed-stricken rich by muckraking the ever-dwarfing economy of the poor. As usual, the love for baroque images plus shortsightedness will destroy the wrecked Argentinians.

  3. Of course the inflation was reduced, Milei cut budget to the bones from Universities, Health, Transport, heat Pensions … Imagine work all your life for having your pension being cut

  4. Left wing guerrillas posing as liberal, what a joke. Once a crook, always a crook. Google the security ministers name "Patricia Bullrich Monteneros" They stole 60 million dollars in ransom money and now these left wing crooks are in power..Believe nothing of these crooks.

  5. How does that work? The country already owes billions to the IMF and is now borrowing $800 million more? And why would the IMF agree to it considering the country's terrible credit history?
