    After the disastrous presidency of Francois Hollande, John Oliver never did a show about how Francois Hollande had an approval rating of 3 percent and had to quit political office because he was afraid of being embarrassed in the elections.
    That's the left wing celebrity comedian for you.
    Obviously The Academic Left, The Online Left, and The Media left wing told you that Francois Hollande was never left wing and did what left always does that is, shed thier skin like a snake, and casually move the goal post and said he's not Left Wing enough.
    But if you ask any ordinary french people about Francois Hollande they'll tell you he was a terribly unserious president.
    That's the difference between Elite opinion and Ordinary people.

  35. Ever since Tony Blair and Barack Obama there has been an epidemic of politicians who care more about thier "political Afterlife" than thier own country. Hence they do what suits thier career and not what suits the larger population. "Hence we get Populism".

    Macron still didn't do the hard work that Marine la penn did. Macron ended up in the position because of spectacular failures of Francois Hollande and Sarkozy who were detached from any sort political reality and cared more about thier mistresses.

    I remember John Oliver doing segments fawning over Francois Hollande. After the failure of Hollande John Oliver never did a video about how Francois Hollande had an approval rating of 3 percent and had to step away from elections out of embarrassment.

    That's the difference between Elite opinion and Ordinary people' opinion.
