Ukrainian air strike reportedly kills six, injures over 100 in Russian-annexed Crimea | ABC News

Russian authorities say there’s been a deadly Ukrainian drone and missile strike in Moscow annexed Crimea explosions rang out and people were forced to take cover on a beach near Sebastapol the Russian installed Governor says six people were killed and more than 100 wounded the majority were hit by Falling debris Russian officials say us supplied weapons were used in the attack as a result of the terrorist attack of the KE regime on sevastopol on a summer holiday on a nice weather day when people were resting on the beach using a cluster missile made in the United States unfortunately at the moment we have 124 wounded there’s been no comment from Ukraine or the United States on the saster pole attack Russia illegally annexed Crimea in 2014 and now sees the Black Sea Peninsula as part of its territory it’s vowing to respond Russia continues to pound Ukraine’s second largest city officials in hake say at least one person was killed and 10 others injured in a series of Russian strikes in the Northeast region moscow’s troops are now about 20 kilometers from the city’s outskirts local authorities say Glide bombs were used in the latest attacks Saturdays and Sundays are unfortunately very dangerous days the most people are outside on the streets and the enemy wants to caused the most casualties it is the Russians total lack of morality and everything human how else could you call it they are not human they are a nation of monsters terrorism expert Professor Greg Barton joins us now from Deacon University now Russia vowing to respond after this deadly Ukrainian drone and missile strike in uh Moscow annexed Crimea is this a worrying development here it’s Waring for Moscow um what we are seeing signs is that Ukraine is having Success Through um these sort of longer distance attacks using uavs drones to make the crime Crimean Peninsula basically an unsafe place for Russian occupation and certainly not a suitable place for basing military operations already the Russian Black Sea fleet has really struggled to operate out of Crimea so that’s a major uh win for Ukraine they’d like to take back uh the Crimean Peninsula their territory lost in 2014 but at the very least they don’t want it to be used as a base for attacks back into Crimea and to keep like Odessa so uh no one wants to see civilian lives lost uh but this is a a terrible gruesome War and the fact that ukrainians are trying to defeat um Russian military assets on the occupied Peninsula is is not surprising
