  1. [Moretto] Inter, Josep Martínez is very close.

In the last few hours, new contact has been made between the Nerazzurri club and Genoa to unblock the deal.

Inter’s latest offer is 13 million euros plus 2 in bonuses.

No technical compensation foreseen in the negotiation.

Report from hours ago: [Di Marzio] Inter is advancing with Genoa to sign Josep Martinez WITHOUT any counterparts in the deal. His valuation is €15M. Initially Genoa had identified Oristanio to be included in the deal. There is also Venezia interested in him. But Inter changed their strategy and want no counterparts.

  2. Oristanio being removed makes me think that there’s a good chance that a move could be made soon on the Tessmann front with the swap that was being discussed.

Outside of our budget and him as a counterpart, there isn’t really a connection between the two moves, but this news is maybe an indication that we now have a little bit more cash for our goalkeeper target than we originally planned for. And my guess would be that it is coming from our budget for a young midfielder (Tessmann), which is being made up for by using Oristanio as a counterpart.
