Rishi Sunak apologises for leaving D-day events early

as I said the itinerary for these events was set weeks ago before the general election campaign I participated in events both in Portsmouth and in France and having fully participated in all the British events with British veterans I returned home before the international leaders event that was a mistake and I apologize for that but I will always be proud of our record in supporting veterans here in the UK we have a dedicated office for Veterans Affairs the first veterans Minister sitting in cabinet and a range of programs to support them with health housing employment needs that’s something that I’ve worked very personally on because it’s personally important to me and as I said yesterday and the day before I had the privilege of speaking with many veterans and their families to express my personal gratitude to them for their service to our country and to honor what they and their colleagues have done for us

Rishi Sunak has apologised for leaving D-day anniversary events early to take part in a TV interview, admitting it was a ‘mistake’ not to stay in France longer.

  1. The darkest hour is on telly tonight, rishi goonak should watch it to be educated on why we didn't buckle under tyranny during ww2 in which he callously ignored our allies at omaha beach

  2. I absolutely DETEST the Sunak and all he stands for…but I still can’t help feeling that the people attacking Sunak for this gaffe, wouldn’t be able to find Normandy on a paint-by-numbers colouring map and are the same people who would have demanded German equity and inclusion and a ceasefire on June 6 1944!!! They would DEMAND more consideration for the nesting cormorants on Gold Beach and that the Luftwaffe be spared because Herman Goering occasionally wore dresses!!!

  3. Apology definitely not accepted. Your heart aint in the j.o.b. By the way prime minister aint a job, its a privilege to serve your people.

  4. Really apologies just don’t cut it . He should be sacked. Country men and all people from England let’s stand up and be counted and not allow him to get any votes whatsoever he just has no respect for anyone.

  5. Seriously this man is the most unbelievably bad PM ever in the history of this country! If it was not for those amazing chaps on the war fields of Normandy then he probably would not even be in this country now as PM!

  6. He just repeat him self my grandfather 98 was there on D day. He said you will be known as worst leader in uk 🇬🇧 history. I say hope the public put you to shame 😢
