The ANC lost its majority for the first time in an election on 29 May and has spent two weeks locked in intensive behind-the-scenes talks with other parties, which came down to the wire on Friday morning as the new parliament was convening

  1. Last week I was in A
SA, and DA leader said that they wouldn't form a government with ANC as long Ramaphosa was the president, today he changed his story. Never believe a politician, they are all the same.

  2. We need to move forward and look beyond race. Big up to Helen Zille and the DA – never thought I would say this – for showing courage and putting the interest of the county first. Well done Helen and the DA. Congratulations as well – to the other parties involved in the GNU. The ANC has betrayed the trust that black South Africans placed on it – for the thirty years they were given the opportunity of governing the country. It is all documented. There are more failures than successes. We supported the ANC thru and thru – and what did we get? A rhetorical question. . Hopefully with the DA and other GNU partners being part of the GNU – they would be able to keep the ANC on the straight and narrow. We need to rebuild the country.
