  1. The show has gotten too unsubtle with it imo. It’s tough because it’s not like I disagree with the themes or the agenda, but at a certain point it becomes about real world politics rather than the show itself. I feel like the messaging is now just “DAE Trump bad?”

  2. I don’t think the creator of the comic book that the show is based on which came out in 2006 and ended in 2012 had Trump in his mind as the model for Home Lander when he created that character. I’m more bummed we aren’t going to get the comic book ending in season 5 but it’ll be interesting to see how they end the tv show.

  3. He basically doesn’t want the character to be a one dimensional piece of garbage that it is based on.

  4. I feel like the Trump stuff, it’s basically non-existent in season 1, when homelanders menacingly walking the house, would Stillwells baby, he simply written like an awesome villain.

  5. Sureeeeeeee and this is announced right before the election .. right…

  6. God I’m so sick of seeing this everywhere. Homelander has actual depth and is a very well written character.

  7. During the debate when Trump said, “I don’t know what he said at the end there, and I don’t think he does either” … total Homelander moment, and that says a lot because he has super hearing
