Why has Sinn Féin’s Support Collapsed?

  1. We should all be glad it’s collapsed. Their party members by and large are rough hallions that look like they would beat the clean shite out of you. Apart from a few of their politicians most don’t have a university education.

Sinn Fein voters are like the DUP, they would vote for their party members no matter what. They could put up a brain dead moron with past criminal convictions up for election and the faithful would still vote for them. I don’t know why they even print a manifesto here.

A United Ireland would happen more quickly if Sinn Fein weren’t a main party in NI.

  2. It’s not really a problem of their creation, same goes for Keir, same goes for Macron, same goes for Justin Trudeau who are all experiencing the same thing.

The unique part of the ‘Collapse of SF’ for me is that they aren’t even running the government yet the events in Dublin are mostly being attributed to them which I find laughable.

I’m of-course biased as I am a SF voter but I really don’t see this as a collapse and see it moreso as a shift in the far right that has been coming for a long time, SF could have appeased them but they decided not to and paid the known price.

  3. The party of outraged opposition has had its platform outsourced to independents.

  4. I know a few lifelong SF activists who left the party when SF went to the Whitehouse.
For people who spent years in jail for a political cause, selling out the Palestinian people was unforgivable.

  5. You mean the populist party is not so popular when real politics are needed unlike the farce we have up here where primary goal is to keep the other side out?
