  1. I wonder how much she was paid to make denial statement like that and she’s supposed to be journalist.

  2. A Japanese journalist saying that is odd since they have no stake in the conflict.

I assume she profits from this.

  3. Journalism is dead. Might as well change it to “random japanese woman denies”

  4. Not surprising at all considering most Japanese, and their official education stance hides much of the war crimes their former empire committed! (Including huge denials or downplaying of sexual crimes.)

For all the criticism the Chinese (rightly) get for denying their atrocities, the Japanese should be criticised harder for it.

  5. I don’t support all of Israels policies. And if I thought that empowering Palestine would result in anything less that a genocide of Jews, and a continued human rights catastrophe against the Palestinian by it’s own leadership, then I would support dropping support for Israel, or it’s leadership. But that wouldn’t improve the situations for Palestinians and would result in a human rights catastrophe for Israel. HAMAS wouldn’t allow any other outcome. So we are stuck where we are.

Just listen to what [Mosab Hassan Yousef](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosab_Hassan_Yousef), the son of a HAMAS founder, has to say about it. Even in Israeli prisons HAMAS is torturing Palestinians to “weed out supposed Israeli collaborators.” Under present conditions empowering Palestine is the worst case scenario for both Israelis and Palestinians. Supporting Palestinians is not acceptable to HAMAS, and that is the only government available to work with in Palestine. Even before HAMAS got de facto control they would brutally sabotage anything that even resembled a peace agreement with Israel. Even if that meant exterminating many of it’s own citizens.

  6. Nothing new for them. They still deny a fuck load of rape and other atrocities their forces committed before and during WWII.

  7. Tbh, as an outsider I cannot tell which is true, because there is plenty of media that are contradicting themself with their statements. It’s statement vs. statement. I wasn’t there and there aren’t video recording or photos of certain accused crimes. E.g. when Ukrainian were massacred, plenty of video material from different sources were avaible as well witness and victims interviews. Here all I have is Journalist A and B saying something. There was even one instance where a freed hostage apparently was harrassed for not saying bad things about her kidnappers? Yeah, I cannot tell truth from lie apart that way.

  8. As an objective fact (I don’t want to enter into if its accurate or not), the UN released a report casting doubts over the rape allegations

EDIT: It’s early in the morning and I meant to say AP, here’s the link I meant

    https://apnews.com/article/israel-hamas-war-sexual-violence-zaka-ca7905bf9520b1e646f86d72cdf03244#

And this is the original link of the comment where its actually a UN report stating indeed that there are grounds to beleive they happened, every1 is free to make their own opinion

    https://news.un.org/en/sites/news.un.org.en/files/atoms/files/Mission_report_of_SRSG_SVC_to_Israel-oWB_29Jan_14_feb_2024.pdf

  9. Hamas bragged about it, filmed it, what else do they need to do to convince the last dumbwit that they are rapists?

  10. “Rabbi Abraham Cooper, a senior official at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, sent a letter to the Japanese Ambassador to the United States, drawing attention to a YouTube video where Japanese journalist Miki Otaka denies the Hamas terror attack on October 7 and sexual violence against Israeli women.”

What does the US have to do with this? Japanese Journalist commenting on the Hamas attack on Israeli.

Shouldn’t he have sent a letter to the Japanese Ambassador to Israel?

edit: didn’t realise he is based in US.

  11. Not all the comments she made can be denied as lies, or outright fabrication. People have to realize that information warfare is as important than actual physical warfare. Pro-Israel and Pro-Hamas factions are hard at work. Only a child in mental development would state that Hamas didn’t commit atrocious on Oct 7th, and similarly that Israel doesn’t commit atrocities in the ocupation and control of land long settled by the Palestinians.
