We just moved to southern Germany and in our yard is this tree. Google is telling me it's a cherry tree of some kind but I don't really want to risk that it's not edible cherries. The flowers were a beautiful pink and the fruits are a very light red/pink color. Any help would be great.

Maybe ask your landlord or so?
But looks like a normal cherry tree to me. (But the not look ripe yet, ripe cherries are deep red.)
I think it might be a decorative cherry. Taste terrible, but the birds love em.
