  1. I wonder how these people in the picture would react to today’s Paris waters.

  2. Good old times when black waters were directly discharged in the river and there was not even regulation nor periodic examination. And nobody knew if you got your weekly dissentry from food poisoning, drinking water or the occasional seinne bath

  3. Believe it or not, but most, if not all, of the people in the picture are now dead. You still think the Seine was safe back then? I think not. /s

  4. Was the tower painted that rusty colour back then, or it appears different due the photo being colorised later?
