Safe to park a motorbike in the streets in Canary Wharf?

I’ll be visiting friends as part of a motorbike trip and I wanted to pass by London with my motorbike.

I was wondering if it’s safe to leave it parked on the streets in this area of Canary Wharf?

Thanks!

  1. Park it a little bit farther north, preferably in that blue bit between marsh wall and bank street

  2. If you do I think you should try to leave it close to the water. The further you go south the more risky it gets imho.

  3. Are there motorcycle bays in Canary Wharf? I thought the only parking bays were in the underground car parks.

  4. I live within that screenshot (but not within the highlighted square)… even though (or maybe because) it’s an affluent area last year two guys came into the estate & stole a motorbike despite the fact we have a security guard at the entrance. I really would not risk it

  5. You can, but do lock it, chain it and cover it. I personally would not park it there, I’d park it in an underground garage there. There are a lot of thieves around unfortunately

  6. Park in the underground sites at Canary Wharf. £3 a day for bikes I think. Or if you spend a tenner in Waitrose, free.

  7. Not without the usual heavy duty padlock and chain, that take at least half an hour to cut through, which is most of London really when it comes to bikes/motorbikes and mopeds.
